Introduction
To provide strategic internal communication support to the FSCA and various internal stakeholders. The person appointed to this position will report to the Media and Stakeholder Relations Manager.

    • Initiate and drive communication campaigns;
    • Develop and periodically revise the communication plan;
    • Support ideas with thorough research and facts and edit and revise content as necessary;
    • Assist in maintaining accurate website and intranet content and executing social media strategies;
    • Co-ordinate communication within the various departments of the FSCA;
    • Identify gaps and propose innovative methods to improve the FSCA’s internal communications strategies;
    • Develop and gather content for the FSCA’s publications and all internal memos in consultation with the relevant internal stakeholders;
    • Review, format and edit existing material for final release (press releases, publications, social media posts, statutory documents);
    • Prepare presentations and reports;
    • Refine core messaging to ensure consistent framing of organisational messages;
    • Work with the ICT department to ensure correct and signed off departmental communiqués are uploaded on the FSCA Intranet at the appropriate time to reach the core department’s communications objectives;
    • Maintain Media databases for the FSCA;
    • Co-ordinate all online communication (website, intranet and social media outlets);
    • Work closely with managers of all core departments to support their communication needs around business updates, strategies and company initiatives;
    • Act as an information resource for questions related to communications;
    • Represent the communication and language service department during all relevant meetings;
    • Assist with general admin queries and ad hoc tasks and projects
    • Key Competencies:
    • The candidate must demonstrate the following skills: Strong communication abilities (oral, writing and editing skills), People management, problem solving, excellent research skills, strong attention to detail, effective project management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of different communication channels and methods to improve internal communication and the ability to perform consistently under pressure.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree / BTech in Corporate Communication / Marketing Communication / Journalism / English / Media Studies plus 2 – 3 years’ experience in a Communications environment.
